Michael Hrabcak
Mr. Hrabcak formed Hrabcak & Company, LPA in 1997 after working as a partner at a law firm in Columbus, Ohio. His practice encompasses real estate law, including investment, commercial, residential and industrial transactions, commercial transactions, business law, and complex civil/ business litigation. He has litigated and been counsel of record in numerous jury and bench trials throughout the county courts of the state of Ohio, as well as the state's various District Courts of Appeals. In addition, Mr. Hrabcak has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, as well as represented parties in both jury and bench trials in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Mr. Hrabcak is a frequent lecturer for various professional groups on subjects related to his areas of practice.

James B. Curtin
Mr. Curtin is an associate with Hrabcak & Company, LPA. He has practiced in the areas of estate planning, probate, tax, income tax and elder law for more than 20 years. Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Curtin practiced for 10 years as a certified public accountant (inactive) with the international public accounting firms, Ernst & Young and PKF International. He has been published in the Journal of Pension Planning and Compliance and is a contributing author for the Ohio State Bar Desk Manual on Elder Law. Mr. Curtin is a frequent lecturer for the Ohio State Bar Association and National Business Institute for subjects including asset protection, estate planning, probate law, business formation and taxation. He has also lectured for the Ohio Society of CPAs on financial planning and the New York State Society of CPAs on taxation and governmental accounting.

Heidi A. Smith
Ms. Smith is an associate with Hrabcak & Company, LPA. Her primary practice includes employment law, civil litigation and veterans’ affairs. Ms. Smith has been counsel of record and has argued in bench trials and jury trials, as well as argued cases before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the Tenth District Court of Appeals. Ms. Smith is licensed to practice law in the States of Ohio and West Virginia.

Benjamin B. Nelson
Mr. Nelson is an associate with Hrabcak & Company, LPA. His practice includes collection law and civil litigation consisting of both jury and bench trials. While attending Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Mr. Nelson was the managing editor for the Journal of Law and Health. He has been published with the University of Texas School of Law’s Review of Entertainment & Sports Law: Regulation or Prohibition? The Troubled Legal Status of Internet Gambling Casinos in the United States in the Wake of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, 9 Tex. Rev. Ent & Sports L. 39 (2007).

In his role as a litigation associate, he has prepared pleadings, trial briefs, discovery requests and responses, garnishments, motions for summary judgment , memorandums in response to motions for summary judgment, and legal research. Mr. Nelson has also been counsel of record and argued in bench trials.
